Dear Parents and Carers,
In light of potential school closures in the coming weeks, we have put together a Home Learning Pack for your child. The pack consists of:
· An exercise book to carry out writing tasks
· Links to educational websites
· MyMaths login for your child ( activities will be set up by your child’s class teacher)
· Purple Mash login for your child
· A list of suggested activities that link with the current curriculum in your child’s class.
Due to other priorities within the curriculum when we return to school and due to the revision nature of the activities, the class teachers will not mark these. They are designed to keep children’s brains active whilst not in the school building.
In the event of longer school closures past the Easter holiday, we have put together a plan to continue with home learning.
Each Class Page on the website has a Home Learning Page. Every Monday morning each week, your child’s class teacher will put home learning activities on the page for your child to carry out that week. Miss Bailey will also be adding a weekly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) task that the children can carry out at home.
Unless unwell ourselves, we will continue to work from home during the school closure, developing our curriculum for next year as well as planning and designing engaging and inspiring learning for the summer term.
I hope that this is all a precautionary measure; however, I am sure that you will agree that it is better to be prepared!
We will try our very best to support your child’s learning during this unique and difficult time and appreciate your support in this matter.
